This half day Heli-rafting tour starts at our helipads in Kaikōura, then takes you deep into the Clarence River Reserve where you’ll get to experience parts of the Clarence River seldom explored.
After weaving your way through the mountains, the helicopter will make a landing beside the riverbed where you will meet your raft guides, taking you through the next part of your adventure.
Following nature’s own highway, the rafting trip promises picturesque and ever-changing scenery as you float on down through the gaping valleys of the reserve.
Along the way you’ll get to experience gentle but fun grade 2 rapids, making it a perfect adventure for any family or group of friends of all abilities.
After your 2-to-3-hour Clarence River rafting journey through the wilderness, you will arrive at Forbes Hut for a delicious and well-deserved lunch spread. After you have feasted, the helicopter will take you back up the river and through the mountains to Kaikōura.
Your experience finished back at the helipad where our complimentary transport is waiting to take you back to town or to your hotel.
